The Southwest Florida chapter was organized to: promote, by organized effort, the interests and welfare of West Virginia University; encourage closer fellowship among alumni, former students,

and friends of the University in this area; cooperate as  University alumni in supporting and developing charitable and educational activities in Southwest Florida; and establish and maintain close contact and better understanding between the University and its graduates and former students in this area.

The chapter covers the geographical area between Marco Island and Bradenton on the west coast of Florida.  Due to the large size of this area three area coordinators are assigned as follow:

These coordinators will direct the activities in their respective areas and will serve on the Board of Directors with the chapter officers.  Officers and area coordinators for the chapter are found on the contact us page.

Activities of the chapter are detailed on the events page.  Application for membership forms can be found on the links page.  Annual dues of $15.00 per person or $20.00 per family are collected to defray the administrative costs of the chapter.
